From clinical management to everyday comfort, heel raisers are a simple, evidence-based solution.
Reduce tensile load on the Achilles tendon during the acute phase by plantarflexing the heel and shortening the lever arm.
Compensate for structural or functional short limb syndrome to restore pelvic level and relieve lower back strain.
Offload fatigued posterior chain muscles between training sessions, reducing delayed-onset soreness and risk of overuse injury.
Ideal for managed return-to-weight-bearing following calf, Achilles, or lower limb surgery as directed by your clinician.
Available in 3 heights and 2 colours. Sold as a pair — trim to fit any shoe.
Our entry-level lift, ideal for mild Achilles tightness, minor leg length differences under 5mm, or first-time raiser users. Comfortable for all-day wear in most shoe types.
Each raiser comes at a standard 11cm length and can be trimmed with scissors for a custom fit in any shoe.
Use the height guide or your clinician's recommendation to choose the correct lift for your presentation.
Trace your insole onto the raiser and trim with scissors for a custom fit. Most shoes don't need trimming at all.
Slide the raiser under your existing insole with the self-adhesive side down. No glue or tools required.
When symptoms resolve, reduce lift height by 2mm every 1–2 weeks rather than removing all at once.
Both colours are made from the same EVA foam and perform identically. Black blends discreetly into most footwear. Red is popular for patients managing unilateral presentations — it makes it easy to remember which shoe has the raiser in it.
For general comfort use, yes. However if you have confirmed Achilles tendinopathy, a leg length discrepancy, or post-surgical needs, we strongly recommend having a podiatrist assess the appropriate height and treatment plan.
The 4mm is best for mild presentations or first-time users. The 6mm suits moderate Achilles tendinopathy or leg length discrepancies of 5–8mm. The 8mm provides maximum lift for significant presentations. Your podiatrist or physiotherapist can advise which is right for you.
Yes — this is a common clinical approach. Two 6mm raisers can be stacked to achieve 12mm of lift. Ensure your shoe has sufficient volume. We recommend doing this under clinician guidance and transitioning down gradually as symptoms resolve.
Heel raisers can be used alongside custom orthotics in most cases — place the raiser beneath the orthotic. Confirm this with your prescribing podiatrist, as some orthotic designs already incorporate an intrinsic heel raise.
Yes — heel raisers and heel lifts are the same thing. The terms are used interchangeably in Australia. You may also see them called heel wedges or heel inserts. All refer to a firm insert placed under the heel to elevate it within the shoe.
